DiSC is a behavioural assessment tool developed by Wiley and Sons in America with research that helps individuals and teams understand their communication styles and preferences. The assessment is based on the work of psychologist William Marston, who identified four primary behavioural traits: Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, and Conscientiousness.
Wiley and Sons' DiSC assessment has been around for over 40 years. It was first introduced in the 1970s and has since become a widely recognised and trusted tool for enhancing communication, teamwork, and personal development in various organisations and industries.
The more uncertain, complex, and ambiguous our working environments become, the more critical a truly agile workforce is to success. But staying agile demands that people continually develop and use their emotional intelligence (EQ)—a level of sophistication that’s never been demanded before.
Unlike other emotional intelligence assessments, the Everything DiSC Agile EQ Profile does not measure whether a person is high or low on emotional intelligence. Wiley’s research has found that there are different types of emotional intelligence that are correlated with the DiSC Styles.
Using a facilitated learning experience, the Agile EQ Profile teaches participants how to read the emotional and interpersonal needs of different situations, and how to adapt to the demands of those mindsets that don’t come naturally.
